Against the Machine: poetic narratives of technological flux
A design of a poster series that depicts the concept of being "Against the Machine". Using typography and images to create a composition that interprets a poet's opinions, convey their message, and how they contribute to the concept
Research And Process Work
When starting, I researched all 3 of my poets to see how they contribute to the concept. I research what their opinions are and how they convey their opinions in their work. I used their combined opinions to form a concept for what they are trying to convey.
Underlying Consequences
Using my research I created the theme of the Underlying Consequences of technology. T.S. Eliot, Andrea Abi-Karam, and Code-Davinci-002 all show grim, dark futures for us all. Each poet uses or shows how the creation of technology has hidden and underlying consequences that will lead to either the enslavement, destruction, or replacement of mankind. They all demonstrate how technology that was created for a good reason, had very bad underlying consequences that would lead to the downfall or destruction of mankind.

Rule-Based Play and Digital Iterations
Using shadows in my free play, I created the concept of Underlying Concepts, which started as shadows and then turned into digital "shadows" which appear behind the "supporting" word, showing the irony between the purpose of technology and the consequence.
